The apartment which we were supposed to design is located on the 10th floor of residential complex "Baltic pearl". The panorama of the Gulf of Finland is seen from the windows in living room and kitchen. The clients clearly defined their preferences: minimum amount of the furniture, almost total absence of the decorations and neutral colours of the finishing materials. Another client’s wish was to divide the areas of kitchen and living room for saving the privacy and intimacy of each zone. Mirrors, symmetrically located on the both sides of the upper partition, which separates the kitchen from the living room, create the illusion of the merged volumes and at the same time reflect the panorama from the window. Mirror panels with the calligraphy which are located below, together with the fixtures above the dining table and the chandelier in the living room support the same effect.
