The first bar "Coyote Ugly" was opened in New York in 1993. At the moment there are 23 bars in this chain located in the USA, Germany, Russia and Ukraine.
The basic concept of this truly American bar is dancing on the bar counter to rousing music in the atmosphere of unconcern and happiness. The latter is easy to achieve in the presence of the famous "coyotes", attractive and charming female bartenders. Not less famous characteristic of "Coyote Ugly" is the oversized bar counters. This bar is different from many of the others because it does without a kitchen and any additional technologies and process lines, which reflects the first and foremost function of a public place of such a kind. "Coyote Ugly" is a bar proper in its pure form.
Project engineering and realization.
The bar in Kazan is located on the second floor of a restored building from the 19th century, situated on one of the busiest pedestrian streets in the central part of the city. What dominates in the planning concept is the Main hall with a 20,5 meter long dance bar counter, a dance floor, a podium with visitor counters and leisure zones as well as a counter and minibar. From the Main Hall you can get to the guest sanitary conveniences, to the Small Hall with an additional 12,5 meters long bar counter and to the leisure zones along the frontal line of the façade. It is important to point out that the designers provided separate entrances and exits from the Main and the Small Halls to staff areas. Thus the logical and functionally reasonable planning concept made it possible for both the guests of the bar and its staff to move around.
As for the style of the bar, it, on the one hand, is very different from that of other bars of the chain "Coyote Ugly", but, on the other hand, does not contradict the general concept. The interior is dominated by dark tones with bright accents, such as red hues on different surfaces and designer graffiti on the walls. Much attention was given to various details and decorative elements.
In course of construction and decorative works we performed two processes at the same time: reconstruction and restoration of the rooms in the building being in use. From engineers’ point of view we managed to succeed in all the complex of water-supply, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, electrical power supply and lighting works as well as in creating security and fire safety system and telecommunication network.
Finishing and installation works in the interior were completed quite fast and within the term required by the client. We attracted specialists from Kazan, Saint Petersburg and Moscow as subcontractors and suppliers. Time-consuming, well-coordinated and timely work of all the participants helped to achieve the desired result which was highly appreciated by the client.
